Professor Hiroshi Ishii of the MIT Media Lab

When I returned to the Takeshiba office yesterday, a lecture by Professor Yutaka Ishii of the MIT Media Lab for KMD students had just begun. It was great to say hello to him again after so long ^^

This is a space where, as you sit and work in the office, you can hear the insights of various experts one after another.

Alan Kay, Marvin Minsky, Marshall McLuhan. The names of the great figures who have had such a profound influence on me kept coming up one after another, but the students just sat there looking bewildered. This prompted a bit of a discussion on the KMD faculty Slack. Thank you all for coming all the way to Takeshiba!

And in that same day’s edition of the Asahi Shimbun, there was a full-page ad from Chiba Institute of Technology, led by Joi, that read, “Why not make AI the Prime Minister?”!

When I asked Joi, she said, “I was told I could design the ad however I wanted, and this is what I came up with.”

That boldness and freedom are part of its charm!

Everyone at the Media Lab is really going for it!!!
