- Information Processing Society of Japan Advisory Board Meeting
Information Processing Society of Japan Advisory Board Meeting.
I was impressed to see that specific measures had been taken in response to the points raised at the previous Advisory Board meeting.
The theme of the declaration marking the society’s 60th anniversary is reportedly “More Local and More Diverse for Global Values.”
I'm pretty sure that this time…
・Approaches to Talent Development in the Era of Generative AI
・How to Achieve “Diverse”
・How to connect the local and global levels
I commented on points such as these.
In particular, wouldn’t it be a good idea to take bold steps to reform academic evaluation in order to achieve “diversity of knowledge”? For example, we could consider developing a system that goes beyond existing formats like papers and presentations to fairly evaluate co-creative and implementation-oriented outcomes as well. That’s what I was thinking—what do you think?
I believe that diversity in an academic society is not about who we accept, but rather about who we build the future with. Therefore, I sincerely hope that the Information Processing Society of Japan will continue to take the lead in serving as an “open platform for knowledge” that creates value not only through technological and research advancements but also in collaboration with society, culture, and education.
