- Celebrating Digital Garage’s 30th Anniversary
Congratulations on Digital Garage’s 30th Anniversary! Congratulations on the NEW CONTEXT CONFERENCE’s 20th Anniversary!
I came to fully understand that Digital Garage is a place where mischievous, ambitious people—who have grown up while retaining the spirit of a child—are seriously trying to change society, using their intelligence and sense of humor as their weapons.
He wholeheartedly believes in the potential of technology—but this is not merely a celebration of technology; rather, it is driven by a strong conviction that technology can be used to transform ideas, culture, and the very fabric of society itself.
Business, art, social activism, research… They effortlessly transcend all boundaries, each devising their own unique approach. That sense of freedom and spirit of adventure filled the entire space.
Think for Yourself and Question Authority. Think for yourself. And question conventional wisdom.
Even though it was a 30th-anniversary party, it didn’t feel like a solemn celebration of the past; rather, it felt like a culmination of the playful spirit that had been honed over the past 30 years—as if a “future yet to be seen” were just beginning from here! It was a night that felt like “Year Zero on the Timeline of the Future.”
And I, too, would like to do my best—in my own small way—to contribute to Digital Garage’s continued growth in my new role as an outside director.
