[June 4 Event] “Studying Abroad in Cebu [CBEA] Cebu Business English Academy—The Reality of the ‘Zero-Yen Study Abroad Program in Cebu’: Learning Work Skills and English to Minimize the Hurdles Japanese People Face When Going Abroad”

This week’s (tomorrow’s) Learning of Tomorrow Online Symposium will feature Mr. Yuhei Teramoto, Representative Director and CEO of Strong Japan Holdings Co., Ltd.

Strong Japan Holdings Co., Ltd. was founded in April 2017. With the group-wide vision of “Connecting the World Through Education” and “Restoring a Strong Japan,” the company operates a variety of businesses, including education, overseas real estate, and recruitment services.In its education business, the company operates educational institutions and daycare centers on Cebu Island, as well as a study abroad agency and an online English conversation service.

In particular, [CBEA] Cebu Business English Academy, a language school on Cebu Island in the Philippines, offers a flexible program where students can attend as little as one class per day or one class per week. What exactly is the “Study Abroad in Cebu for Free” program? We’ll be discussing the background, history, and key features of our educational initiatives on Cebu Island.     After graduating from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Tokyo, he served as a visiting researcher at the MIT Media Lab before founding the NPO CANVAS and the Learning of Tomorrow Association, a General Incorporated Association, and assuming the role of representative. He serves as an outside director for Matsuya Co., Ltd., Fuji Media Holdings, Inc., and Digital Garage, Inc.
    He has served on various government committees, including the Information and Communications Council of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, as well as the NHK Central Broadcasting Program Council. He also serves as a director of the Digital Signage Consortium, among other roles. He holds a Ph.D. in Policy and Media.
    His publications include *Turning On Children’s Creativity!*, *What Are Smart Kids Doing on Their Smartphones?*, *The Forefront of Online Education in Japan: Considering Learning in the Post-COVID Era*,“What Is Programming Education? 45 Questions Parents Want to Know,” and “Declaration on Digital Education.” He has also provided supervision for numerous works, including “Ah, I See! Programming Education for Parents and Children Through Manga.”
