- [Announcement] “Continuing Education and the Potential of ‘JV-Campus,’ a Japan-Based Online International Education Platform”
The online symposium on Thursday, June 12, will feature Professor Ryosuke Oba of the Division of Educational Advancement at the University of Tsukuba and Keizo Yoshida, Managing Director at Deloitte Tohmatsu Group.
In response to the demands for experience and skills arising from a diverse, increasingly complex, and sophisticated society, individuals’ careers are becoming longer, and we have entered an era in which it is increasingly necessary to proactively update our learning and experiences.
Japan Virtual Campus (JV-Campus) is a new platform designed to promote education and exchange in Japan through online learning, as part of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology’s “Super Global University Initiative (SGU Initiative).”The initiative began in March 2022, and as of April 2025, 72 higher education institutions in Japan, 10 overseas higher education institutions, and three companies are participating.By promoting Japanese higher education overseas, the initiative aims to further internationalization and stimulate the international flow of people in the field of education, while also challenging conventional approaches to learning.
As the international gateway to higher education in Japan, we will be introducing the initiatives and background of JV-Campus, which connects Japan with the world. We hope you will join us.
