First Touch Test Held!
Just as an eye exam evaluates visual function, this test is designed to measure tactile sensitivity and understand an individual’s tactile characteristics.
We invited individuals with sensory challenges to try out the touch test kit we developed based on the hypotheses of the Touch Test Team!
We received excellent feedback and data from all participants that will help us make further improvements.
Of course, it wasn’t just about having participants experience things firsthand—we also wanted to convey the concept of “What is tactile sensation?” in a way that was both easy to understand and fun! With that in mind, each member of the touch test team brought their own unique tools, and I can’t help but think that this made for an even better event than we had originally planned!
Well, well, this time the data turned out to be different from the hypothesis, didn't it?
Although I am not a tactile expert, based on the accounts of those directly affected, I had expressed skepticism about the hypothesis from the very beginning; however, from the perspective of tactile experts, that claim was apparently out of the question.
So, I started thinking, “What if the hypothesis was actually wrong?! If we could prove that, wouldn’t that be some really interesting data?!”
What I’m trying to say is that, moving forward, we intend to continue connecting professionals in various fields with those directly affected, while devising and implementing various approaches aimed at realizing a neurodiverse society.
The Value of Co-Creation!!
You can try out the improved version on Chomorrow too!
