I happened to have some business in that area, so I stopped by right when they opened. Since the line wasn't too long, I went in.
The well-worn interior, with its Showa-era atmosphere, is bustling with what appear to be regulars.
It’s affordable, the food is delicious, and—above all—it’s known as a place for big eaters, with a hearty selection of dishes, so it’s no wonder it’s so popular.
As I was eating at the counter, I couldn’t help but overhear the wife say to her husband, who was stirring the hot pot, “It makes me so happy that you’re enjoying it!”
It’s so wonderful that, after running the shop together for 45 years, this is the kind of conversation you overhear when you happen to stop by! Their warm and friendly service is definitely part of the reason for the shop’s popularity.
I didn’t come here to “eat a lot,” so I ordered a regular portion, but the photo shows the fried rice that comes with the ramen set. The portion of fried rice in the set alone looks like it would be enough to fill me up, but apparently, a regular portion is 2.5 go, a large portion is 4 go, and an extra-large portion is 5 go.

After graduating from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Tokyo, he served as a visiting researcher at the MIT Media Lab before founding the NPO CANVAS and the Learning of Tomorrow Association, a General Incorporated Association, and assuming the role of representative. He serves as an outside director for Matsuya Co., Ltd., Fuji Media Holdings, Inc., and Digital Garage, Inc.
He has served on various government committees, including the Information and Communications Council of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, as well as the NHK Central Broadcasting Program Council. He also serves as a director of the Digital Signage Consortium, among other roles. He holds a Ph.D. in Policy and Media.
