- [Announcement] “The Challenge of Being a Generative AI Pilot School: Educational Practices and School Management at Iwanuma North Junior High School”

Last October, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology announced that it had selected 53 schools in 38 municipalities to serve as pilot schools for testing the use of generative AI in schools. These pilot schools will work to streamline classroom instruction and school administration using generative AI, while identifying best practices and challenges associated with its implementation in school settings.
Iwanuma Kita Junior High School has been designated by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) to participate in the Reading DX School Project. As it moves forward with this initiative, the school has achieved steady results, including being recognized by JAET as an Advanced School for School IT and designated as a Generative AI Pilot School.
At this symposium, we will hear about practical approaches to incorporating generative AI into learning and school management. We hope you will join us.
