"What kind of society will you help shape by developing your creative abilities?"

Now that AI is beginning to permeate our lives and the very concept of creativity is on the verge of a major transformation, how can we cultivate our own creativity and move forward into the next era?

The Keio University Graduate School of Media Design (KMD) is dedicated to fostering “Media Innovators”—individuals capable of generating innovation on their own and creating value for society.While maintaining a balance between theory and practice, we work with various external communities to carry out the entire process—from creating innovation from scratch (an idea) to bringing it to market and generating social impact. We call this the “Real Project,” and it forms the core of KMD’s activities.

To mark our 15th anniversary, we will host the Keio Media Design 15th Anniversary Plenary Meeting. This event will bring together real-world projects currently being undertaken by KMD students to showcase the seeds of innovation that KMD is cultivating for the next era. Additionally, KMD alumnus Yoon In-nan will deliver a keynote address as a special guest.

    After graduating from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Tokyo, he served as a visiting researcher at the MIT Media Lab before founding the NPO CANVAS and the Learning of Tomorrow Association, a General Incorporated Association, and assuming the role of representative. He serves as an outside director for Matsuya Co., Ltd., Fuji Media Holdings, Inc., and Digital Garage, Inc.
    He has served on various government committees, including the Information and Communications Council of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, as well as the NHK Central Broadcasting Program Council. He also serves as a director of the Digital Signage Consortium, among other roles. He holds a Ph.D. in Policy and Media.
    His publications include *Turning On Children’s Creativity!*, *What Are Smart Kids Doing on Their Smartphones?*, *The Forefront of Online Education in Japan: Considering Learning in the Post-COVID Era*,“What Is Programming Education? 45 Questions Parents Want to Know,” and “Declaration on Digital Education.” He has also provided supervision for numerous works, including “Ah, I See! Programming Education for Parents and Children Through Manga.”
