Kyoto International Film Festival

The Kyoto International Film Festival from Ichinomiya City.

It’s such a treat to be able to enjoy art alongside Kyoto Mayor Kadokawa and Mr. Osaki, the former Yoshimoto comedian.

And I was also able to visit Naoko Tosa’s lab at Kyoto University’s Disaster Prevention Research Institute! She said the connection between disaster prevention and art is “life.” I see!

We sat down for an in-depth conversation about how a disaster prevention research institute at a Japanese national university made its striking debut at a fashion show in New York.

It also includes behind-the-scenes stories about last week’s projection mapping at the UN-sponsored IGF.
