The Singaporean government has announced a policy to actively use ChatGPT in education.

Exactly one month ago, I received a message from Chiew stating that while schools around the world are implementing measures to prevent the use of ChatGPT for homework, Singapore is actually teaching students how to use ChatGPT for their homework. “For Singapore’s Ministry of Education, rote memorization and learning by following instructions alone are now considered to have zero value,” he said.

Furthermore, the Singaporean government has announced that it will abolish all midterm exams in primary and secondary education by 2023.

So, at next week’s Learning of Tomorrow Online Symposium, we’ll be hearing about the current state of education in Singapore. It’s next Monday. We hope you’ll join us!
