[Video] “Research and Therapeutic Practices for Developmental Disorders Using Robots”

On December 7, 2022, Learning of Tomorrow hosted an online symposium titled “Research and Therapeutic Practices for Developmental Disorders Using Robots,” featuring Professor Hideki Kojima of the Graduate School of Education at Tohoku University.

In the first half, research is being conducted to support the development of social skills using robots for children with ASD (autism spectrum disorder) who have difficulty communicating with others. We asked Mr. Kojima—the developer of “Keepon,” a stuffed animal-type robot designed to support communication therapy, and a researcher exploring the use of robots in therapeutic education—to explain practical examples of communication therapy and the potential applications of robots. In the second half, we held a Q&A session with viewers, featuring Nanako Ishido, Chairperson of Learning of Tomorrow.

We have also published the report.
