- Platinum Grand Prize Final Judging & Awards Ceremony
The Platinum Grand Prize Final Judging and Awards Ceremony, led by Hiroshi Komiyama, former president of the University of Tokyo, at Kanda Myojin Hall.
Starting this year, not only the judges but also the presenters have returned to in-person appearances.
The winner of the Grand Prize was,
"The 'Two-in-One' Road-and-Rail DMV—Let's Be the First in the World to Ride It!" (Tokushima Prefecture, Kochi Prefecture, and Asa Kaigan Railway Co., Ltd.)
"Development of 'D-walk,' a Device for Dementia Prevention and Early Detection Focusing on Shuffling Gait and Unsteadiness" (Iwate Prefecture, Ichinoseki City, Ichinoseki National College of Technology)
Congratulations!
The presentation by the Governor of Tokushima Prefecture was so impressive it went beyond mere inspiration and was truly astonishing, and the students from Ichinoseki National College of Technology, despite the pressure of local government officials taking the stage one after another, presented a vision for a new “Platinum Society” that surpassed all others.
Furthermore, although it narrowly missed winning the Grand Prize, the “Kuroshio Town Nature-Based Educational Travel Program”—which garnered widespread acclaim—was awarded the Special Excellence Award following a thorough discussion.
Shikoku is awesome!
At the networking event, I heard from many people that the other case studies were extremely helpful, and it’s wonderful to see that the Platinum Grand Prize serves as a forum and community for sharing information aimed at replicating these success stories.
Once again, to all the award winners,
Congratulations!
To all the judges, the organizing committee, and the secretariat—thank you for all your hard work!
