2022 Virtual Labs Now Open!
Virtual Labs are online courses led by iU visiting faculty members who share their expertise in their respective fields. From marketing, entrepreneurship, Web 3.0, and global career development to beer brewing and planning and organizing camping trips on deserted islands, a wide variety of fascinating Virtual Labs have been launched this academic year.

◆ Introducing a B Lab Researcher
B Lab researchers are active on the front lines of various industries. This time, we spoke with Mr. Akama from Tokyo BRANDING University (Personal Venture Capital).

◆ Please tell us about your day-to-day activities!
I handle customer success at a startup while also providing HR support to several other companies. Recently, I joined Y Combinator Startup School 22, where I’m preparing to launch my own startup alongside founders from around the world. While I’ve a background in supporting startups, I also have a strong desire to start my own business—and if I’m going to do it, I want to build a business with global impact. That’s why I’m taking on the challenge of Y Combinator Startup School again, which has returned after a three-year hiatus. I plan to leverage my experience from this world-class startup incubator and apply it to our virtual lab’s activities to help make them even better.
