On Sunday, June 5, we held the "Museum Just for Kids" event.

—A locomotive character that looks just like the real thing
I carefully wrapped materials that looked like they could be used as locomotive parts with masking tape and colored them with a marker.
What is this pattern made of? What about the chimney??
I made it myself, thinking through each step to make it as close to the real thing as possible.
Finally, team up with your family to pick up the pace!
We've completed a massive project that includes train tracks and a launch pad.
—A restaurant with an extensive menu
Colorful juices made in plastic cups, and ramen made from pipe cleaners.
Plus, new menu items—like hamburger steaks and fried rice—are being introduced one after another!
We made signs, and cash and digital payment methods also made an appearance,

—Long, loooong???
If I cut along the lines I’ve scribbled on a sheet of drawing paper and fold it, it should turn into a book…
But then a snake appeared.
When you connect sheets of construction paper of different colors, the resulting, even longer shape looks like a dragon…!?
A stream of ever-changing ideas—connecting sheets of paper longer than I am,
It was impressive to see them moving around so energetically!
With everyone’s cooperation—such as wearing masks, washing hands, and using alcohol-based hand sanitizer—
The event will be held with strict adherence to infection prevention measures, including limiting the number of participants and ensuring proper ventilation.
I can't wait to see what kinds of encounters and ideas the kids come up with!
*“The Children’s Museum” is held once a month as a one-time workshop.

Chairperson, CANVASAfter graduating from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Tokyo, he served as a visiting researcher at the MIT Media Lab before founding the NPO CANVAS and the Learning of Tomorrow Association, a General Incorporated Association, and assuming the role of representative. He serves as an outside director for Matsuya Co., Ltd., Fuji Media Holdings, Inc., and Digital Garage, Inc.
He has served on various government committees, including the Information and Communications Council of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, as well as the NHK Central Broadcasting Program Council. He also serves as a director of the Digital Signage Consortium, among other roles. He holds a Ph.D. in Policy and Media.
His publications include *Turning On Children’s Creativity!*, *What Are Smart Kids Doing on Their Smartphones?*, *The Forefront of Online Education in Japan: Considering Learning in the Post-COVID Era*,“What Is Programming Education? 45 Questions Parents Want to Know,” and “Declaration on Digital Education.” He has also provided supervision for numerous works, including “Ah, I See! Programming Education for Parents and Children Through Manga.”
