#Kids Researcher's Log

On Sunday, January 9, we held the “Museum Just for Kids” event.

Here's a quick look at what it was like

—A Large Bird

A large bird made by combining metal parts and paper.

The wings are also made from bendable wood!

Build a base using metal parts, and

We designed it so that birds could take flight from there!

—Creating 3D Shapes from 2D Surfaces

At first, I wrote all sorts of things on a flat piece of paper.

We also made the Earth out of stations, railroad tracks, and Styrofoam balls.

I folded and stacked two sheets of drawing paper covered with lots of drawings,

I've turned a two-dimensional piece into a three-dimensional work of art!

—Weapons→→→Christmas Tree

Roll up a piece of red construction paper. A sword-like weapon is complete!?

Apparently, it's actually a Christmas tree, not a weapon.

Draw some patterns, stick on some straws, and add a few slightly Japanese-style decorations

We've finished making a tree that you can enjoy even during the New Year holidays!

The next "Kids-Only Museum" event will be on Sunday, March 6.

I can't wait to see what kinds of encounters and ideas the kids come up with!

*The "Kids-Only Museum" is held once a month as a one-time workshop.
