#Kids Researcher's Log
On Sunday, December 5, we held the “Museum Just for Kids” event.
Here’s a quick look at what it’s like

—A Large Spaceship
Two large pieces of metal, connected by straws that look like flames—it’s a spaceship!
The metal is heavy, so it won't stand up straight…
Through trial and error, I adjusted the angle of the straw, added another straw to make it sturdier, and worked to make it stand firmly.
I spent every last minute on it, and I finally finished building a spaceship that takes off with a straw-powered flame!
—The World of the Deep Sea
A world of the ocean spreading out from blue construction paper.
The underwater world is filled with three-dimensional shrimp, squid, and all kinds of other sea creatures made from paper cups and straws.
In addition to animals, there was trash and other things—it really brought to life the mysterious depths of the ocean!
The kids who participated for the first time in several months and showed us how much they’ve grown, and
Some kids even joined us for the first time in a while right before graduating from elementary school!
The connection between the museum and the people there really warmed my heart.
The next “Kids-Only Museum” event will be held on Sunday, February 6.
I can't wait to see what kinds of encounters and ideas the kids come up with!
*The "Kids-Only Museum" is held once a month as a one-time workshop.
