IVRC 2021 Final Judging Session

The final judging round of the IVRC (Interverse Virtual Reality Challenge) 2021, known as the LEAP STAGE.

The presentation by Professor Tachi—who has led the VR industry for 30 years—on its history and future outlook was truly impressive.

Executive Committee Chair Inami, who took over the baton from Professor Tachi, delivered a forward-looking speech that clearly outlined a vision for continued evolution and growth (*^^*). As always, Professor Inami was fantastic.

It may sound like a cliché, but every entry was brimming with creativity and the hardships involved in bringing them to life, and it was truly impossible to choose a favorite, but

From the user’s perspective, I selected for the Special Jury Prize a work that I would love to experience again and again and that I hope will be put into practical use and introduced into society.

And, and… the overall winner was TEAM KMD's "Headspin Experience"!

You were really giving it your all at Takeshiba yesterday, even though you were a little flustered! Congratulations~ (*^^*) I couldn't help but pump my fist in celebration—I'm so glad your enthusiasm came through even over the internet!

It looks like you can view the video below. It’s kind of embarrassing to be caught on camera so completely absorbed in the VR experience.
