- Digital Scent Control Device
Experience the world's first digital scent control device.
Aroma Join had also set up a booth at Chomorrow, but I didn’t have time to try it out that day, so I decided to give it a go today instead.
Speaking of scent transmission, I recall that research was conducted at the MIT Media Lab 20 years ago, but I remember they were struggling with how to eliminate the scent.
This appears to be a product that has overcome that challenge.
The photo shows a scented Digital Ehon.
As the story unfolds, when you mix your favorite fruits—like apples and bananas—to make juice, you can even smell the aroma! It’s an interactive Digital Ehon like that.
I’d like to host workshops on things like programming to control scents, creating scented videos, and producing scented Digital Ehon books.
I also thought it could be useful for identifying relaxing scents, helping people with olfactory hypersensitivity, and more!
I'm so curious!
I still vividly remember the time I proposed digital textbooks and a member of the Diet got angry at me, saying, “The smell of paper is what makes textbooks special!”
You can actually recreate the smell of paper even in the digital world!
Thank you, Mr. Nakai, for the introduction!
