Let’s draw inspiration from the Edo period to imagine the future we want to live in!
Gururi Kids Workshop

"Nihonbashi Gururi" is an initiative that draws inspiration from Edo-period lifestyles—which embodied a highly circular society—to reexamine the present day; based in Nihonbashi, home to many long-established companies, the initiative develops and promotes these ideas.
As part of this initiative, we will be hosting the “Gururi Kids” event for children. “Gururi Kids” is a project that explores new possibilities for the future together with the children who will shape it. The theme for this event is “Let’s Think About the Future We Want to Live In, Taking Inspiration from the Edo Period.”
People in the Edo period used everything until it was completely worn out, borrowed and lent various items, and shared what they had, leading lives that produced absolutely no waste.Since then, our lives have become much more convenient, but at the same time, various problems have arisen. How can we ensure a lifestyle that is both environmentally friendly and allows everyone to live happily? Drawing inspiration from Edo-period lifestyles, we invite children to use their flexible thinking and sensitivity to envision the future they want to live in and present their ideas.
