Contents

1) Review of the definition of digital talent and the career map discussed at the first working group meeting

2) Discussion

Key Issues

  • Definition of Digital Talent and Career Maps
  • What This Working Group Aims to Achieve and Its Ultimate Goals

Key Comments

  • While I have no objections to the basic framework for defining “digital talent,” the ultimate goal this working group should aim for is determining how, once the framework is established, we will enhance resources, establish access methods, and create opportunities for digital talent to thrive. Perhaps it would be best to actually move forward with challenge-based projects.
  • DX talent is not merely talent that can master technology. We should have a more in-depth discussion about what constitutes success in DX.
  • It is not enough to merely acquire knowledge; it is necessary to apply new value in practical settings. Sometimes, learning occurs through hands-on experience.
  • We must drive forward both the development of talent and the creation of fields where social agendas can be implemented as two wheels of the same cart.
  • It might be worth considering having DX talent trained at “Meta Universities” carry out DX initiatives on a volunteer basis and certify those activities. It would also be interesting to set up several practical training grounds for DX talent and examine which curricula are effective.

Looking Ahead

While formulating the definition and mapping of digital talent currently under discussion, we will simultaneously build up a body of individual case studies. We will proceed along these two main pillars.
