#Kids Researcher's Log: On Sunday, June 6, we held the
"Kids-Only Museum" event.

The “Museum Just for Kids” is a little different from other Kids’ Creative Institutes. We
provide about 70 different types of materials, a variety of tools, and 90 minutes of time.
It’s entirely up to the children to decide how to use the materials, tools, and time. They think things through
carefully, then try making something. After they’ve made something, they think about it again.
They spend the entire 90 minutes creating, taking their time and trying out all sorts of things along the way.

—What kind of cameras did they make? Cardboard cameras in the shape of
cameras.
They put two pieces together to create a 3D model or combined them with colored cellophane. What should they use for the
shutter and lens?? Some made them so they make a sound when you press the
shutter, while others put a lot of thought into the straps.
Even with the same theme, the details each child focuses on vary widely!

—A fluffy hat made of fluffy
pink fabric. I want to try making a hat!
