Announcement of Free Esports Courses Offered by “Interacademic Esports Education”

The “Interacademic Esports Education”—a community and coordinating organization established jointly by the Learning of Tomorrow Association and the Japan e-Sports Union (Jesu) with the aim of providing educational opportunities through e-sports—will now be offering a free e-sports course curriculum.

In Japan, esports has already begun to be incorporated into the educational system through high school clubs, vocational school curricula, and university courses and clubs. However, there is insufficient information exchange among these initiatives, and their results and evidence have not been widely shared.Furthermore, even for those considering introducing esports into educational settings for the first time, it remains difficult to understand what approaches are available or to find relevant information.

Therefore, at Interacademic Esports Education, we will use this eSports course curriculum to promote the adoption of eSports in classroom instruction and school clubs, and to further explore the educational value of eSports. This comprehensive 11-part series—adapted to the Japanese educational environment—includes an “Overview/Introduction” to the curriculum.

At Interacademic Esports Education, we will continue our efforts to promote the adoption of eSports in more schools based on the implementation of this course curriculum. If you are interested, we encourage you to participate. We would also appreciate it if you could share this information with school staff and other relevant parties.
