- Announcement: Online Lecture on “AI and Education in the Post-COVID Era” to Be Held on June 10
The next Learning of Tomorrow Online Lunch Symposium, titled “AI and Education in the Post-COVID Era,” will feature Ryo Shimizu, President of Gilia.
Gilia, Inc. co-developed the educational AI used by Try, the tutoring service made famous by its Heidi TV commercials. Reports indicate that the
practical application of AI in education has led to improvements such as an increase in standardized test scores by approximately 5 to 8 points.Furthermore, in Reiwa 1, the government announced a policy to introduce AI education in all undergraduate programs and departments, regardless of whether they are in the humanities or sciences, and DeepAnalyzer—developed by Gilia—has begun to be implemented in actual educational settings. We will explore what kind of AI-ready talent will be required in the
post-COVID era and what kind of educational systems might be needed to foster it. We hope you’ll join us.
