- [Media] Interacademic Esports Education Meta School
Thank you to all the media outlets for covering the “eSports Meta School,” which was launched through a collaboration between the Learning of Tomorrow Association and JeSU. We’ve
also been receiving a steady stream of inquiries from people interested in participating, and we look forward to seeing how this initiative develops.
"The Interacademic Esports Education program, organized by both organizations, will have the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Secretariat for the Promotion of Intellectual Property Strategy under the Cabinet Office serving as observers. The initiative aims to foster esports talent, promote the adoption of esports in classroom instruction and extracurricular activities, and explore the educational value of esports.
Specifically, a working group will be formed comprising universities, vocational schools, technical colleges, high schools, and elementary and junior high schools interested in incorporating esports into education. Based on this, a “secretariat” led by JeSU and Learning of Tomorrow will first draft a joint curriculum designed primarily for university courses.
Regarding the curriculum content, two main themes are being considered: “Learning about esports” and “Learning through esports.” We plan to refine the content based on practical implementation at the schools participating in the working group.”
