- “My Landlady and Me” Is Getting an Anime Adaptation!
Taro Yabe’s “The Landlady and Me” is being adapted into an anime! It will air on NHK General.
The series is produced by Fanworks,
led by President Takayama. Mr. Yabe also serves as a judge for the Digital Ehon Awards.
Here, Mr. Yabe is drawing the landlady right on the spot to test out an AR app during the judging process!
The photo shows him judging alongside Yuichi Kimura.
There are two “Yuichi Kimuras” at this year’s Digital Ehon Awards:
Yuichi Kimura, the renowned picture book author, and Yuichi Kimura, the comedian. Apparently, both are so famous that mail is sometimes delivered to the wrong person. We ask everyone to please be careful not to mix them up.
I’ve held workshops and enjoyed soft-shelled turtle hot pot with Mr. Takayama, who also produced *Yawaraka Sensha*—he’s been a great help to me in many ways.
The anime *The Landlady and Me*, produced by Mr. Takayama, premieres March 2!
