Following reports of COVID-19 cases in Fukuoka City, the Workshop Collection in Kyushu has unfortunately been canceled.

This event was built through a collaborative effort not only with the co-organizers—CANVAS, Gooday, Fukuoka City, and Kyushu University—but also with 27 sponsoring companies, 44 exhibiting organizations, and supporting organizations including the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), Fukuoka Prefecture, the Kyushu Federation of Economic Organizations, the Fukuoka Chamber of Commerce and Industry, 53 boards of education, and numerous media outlets.Amid a wide range of opinions from the many stakeholders involved, this decision was made with the health and safety of our visitors and exhibitors as our top priority. We apologize to everyone involved who had been preparing for the event, and to the children who were looking forward to it.I can truly feel the deep disappointment of the Gooday staff at the secretariat, who spent a full year establishing this collaborative framework involving industry, government, academia, and the community, and I, too, am deeply sorry.
I am attaching the event pamphlet that will no longer be distributed, a result of the dedicated efforts of Mr. Yamada of Gooday.

However, we’re already discussing plans for the next event, and I’m confident that next time you’ll be able to enjoy an even more exciting Workshop Collection in Kyushu.
As for the Workshop Collection in Tokyo, since the Tokyo Metropolitan Government has recommended holding the event at least three weeks after the current situation, we are currently proceeding with preparations as planned. We will continue to gather information and make appropriate decisions based on the situation.
