To foster the capabilities needed to lead the Society 5.0 era, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) announced measures including the implementation of a “one device per student” environment, cloud utilization through the opening of SINET, the use of educational big data, and the introduction of cutting-edge technologies such as VR and AR.

Minister Shibayama was also present at the IT Federation General Assembly earlier today.
Just the other day, we were given a full three hours to discuss the matter in depth, and after hearing Minister Shibayama say that “we have no choice but to step on the gas,” I have very high expectations.
There was also an article about the enactment of the Act on the Promotion of Information Technology in School Education. I hope it will “serve as a tailwind in advancing the development of ICT environments in schools.”
