- Symposium: “Challenges and Prospects for EdTech Startups in Japan”
November 27
Symposium hosted by Learning of Tomorrow & CiP: “Challenges and Prospects for EdTech Startups in Japan.”
Featuring Mr. Yuji Kato, COO of the Cool Japan Organization; Mr. Motoki Kamino, CEO of COMPASS;
Mr. Atsushi Miyauchi, Principal at Obunsha Ventures; and Mr. Shuhisa Wada, Executive Vice President of Edulab.
Learning of Tomorrow plans to begin supporting EdTech businesses (including assistance with overseas expansion, providing opportunities for business validation, and
organizing pitch events in collaboration with funds, etc.). However,
while discussing specific strategies with fund representatives,
it was pointed out that it is difficult to attract investment in Japan’s EdTech sector…
That is why the background for this event was to try to uncover the reasons behind this.
The conclusion of today’s symposium was, “Isn’t it necessary for EdTech companies to have overseas expansion in mind from the very beginning?”
Moving forward, the Learning of Tomorrow intends to continue building this support system in collaboration with the CiP Fund, the Cool Japan Organization, and all the speakers who participated today.
