“Create a Life That’s Truly Yours Through Programming”
The gender imbalance in STEM fields—with a predominance of men—is a common challenge faced by countries around the world.
To mark International Women’s Day on March 8,
we interviewed three women who have carved out their own paths in life through programming and created a video featuring their stories.
Masako Wakamiya, who began developing apps at age 82; Hyian Chan, who developed a device for people with Parkinson’s disease; and Mizuki Shimakage, who competed in the Imaginecup programming contest for students and now works at Microsoft.
