The Next-Generation Early Childhood Education Research Project, which focuses on creating enjoyable learning experiences for children, will hold its first symposium titled “The First Step in Programming Education: Creating Fun Learning Experiences for Preschoolers” for elementary school and kindergarten teachers on Tuesday, November 7, at the University of Tokyo.
What kind of learning do children need to thrive in the future? How can we create that crucial “first step” for preschoolers and connect it to further learning?In this inaugural symposium, we will focus on programming education—a topic of growing interest—and work together with attendees to explore approaches to programming that allow children to play in a child-centered way and enjoy themselves while harnessing their boundless creativity.
