- [Press Release] The “STEAM KIDS” Project: Bringing a New Form of Learning to the Children Who Will Shape the Future
The “STEAM KIDS” project is a new initiative launched by the NPO CANVAS, which has been promoting collaboration among industry, government, academia, and the community to bring innovative learning experiences—designed for the children who will shape the future—to all children.
Since our founding, we have continued to offer children approximately 300 different types of workshop programs covering science, digital technology, visual arts, mathematics, physical expression, programming, and design. This project was launched to curate experiences from among these programs that focus specifically on STEAM education—Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics—and to deliver this new form of learning to even more children through various formats, including not only workshops but also hands-on exhibits, events, and shows.
★★STEAM KIDS Kickoff Event★★
The STEAM KIDS Kickoff Event, held over two days on May 27 and 28, is an opportunity for participants to use “knowledge” as a tool to bring their ideas to life, with a focus on “making,” and to take the initiative in creating new value.
You can experience a variety of learning methods, including workshops that let you take your time “creating” things, interactive science shows where parents and children can experience the “wonders” of science and technology together, and hands-on exhibits that allow you to easily try out activities in various fields.
