I am exhibiting my work in the “My Design—A Piece Selected by a Good Design Award Judge” exhibition.

"My Designs: A Selection by a Good Design Award Judge" Exhibition　

Dates: Thursday, August 11 – Sunday, September 11;
Location: GOOD DESIGN Marunouchi

Widely recognized as Japan’s premier design award,
the Good Design Award involves a panel of judges evaluating design entries from
a wide range of fields based on their respective expertise to determine the winners.
This year’s panel of 76 judges—comprising designers, architects, scholars, journalists,
and business executives—includes leading figures from diverse fields active at the forefront of their respective industries in
Japan, South Korea, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, India, and Singapore.
What kind of designers are this year’s judges, and what kinds of designs do they create?
This exhibition brings together one piece from each of the 76 jury members—who are active at
the forefront of the design world today—including their recent works, the principles underpinning their design philosophies,
designs essential to their creative process, and their latest publications.

    After graduating from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Tokyo, he served as a visiting researcher at the MIT Media Lab before founding the NPO CANVAS and the Learning of Tomorrow Association, a General Incorporated Association, and assuming the role of representative. He serves as an outside director for Matsuya Co., Ltd., Fuji Media Holdings, Inc., and Digital Garage, Inc.
    He has served on various government committees, including the Information and Communications Council of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, as well as the NHK Central Broadcasting Program Council. He also serves as a director of the Digital Signage Consortium, among other roles. He holds a Ph.D. in Policy and Media.
    His publications include *Turning On Children’s Creativity!*, *What Are Smart Kids Doing on Their Smartphones?*, *The Forefront of Online Education in Japan: Considering Learning in the Post-COVID Era*,“What Is Programming Education? 45 Questions Parents Want to Know,” and “Declaration on Digital Education.” He has also provided supervision for numerous works, including “Ah, I See! Programming Education for Parents and Children Through Manga.”
