Thailand! At Constructionism 2016, I’ll be talking about the Workshop Collection and PEG.
I ran into some KMD students at the airport, and when I arrived at the hotel, there was a massive downpour.
At the hotel, they handed me the key without even asking my name—I was like, “Huh?”—and then 30 minutes later, they contacted me to say they’d given me the wrong room.Apparently, the
front desk staff had (unilaterally) assumed the next person to check in would be a woman, and when they saw me arrive, they thought, “She’s a woman, so it must be her!” and handed me the key…
When I walked into the café on the first floor, I saw Professor Walter Bender, the former director of the MIT Media Lab, having tea, so I took a photo with him♪
After that, I got a notification that my credit card had been used fraudulently, which had me running around in a panic. A trip to Bangkok where all sorts of things happen within just a few hours of
arriving!
Tomorrow, there will be a panel discussion with Professor Miyata, Professor Abe, and Professor Kamei—the four of us.
I’m happy to hear that it received high marks and passed peer review. I’ll do my best!
