"Future Realization IT Classroom" Holds an On-Site Workshop at an Elementary School in Miyagi!

The other day, we held a programming workshop using “Pyonkee,” a programming language for the iPad, at Iwanuma Elementary School in Iwanuma City, Miyagi Prefecture.
As part of the “IT Classes for Realizing the Future” initiative we are conducting in partnership with Itochu Techno-Solutions, we held the workshop during the school’s computer club sessions, which took place every other week in October.

By setting the main character and the start and end points, you can create an original world and craft a “playable story” in which you use your finger to navigate through various obstacles.

Some children are fascinated by creating realistic movements for animal characters; others are meticulous about the placement of items to create a sense of depth on the screen; still others are absorbed in programming sound effects to enhance the sense of realism… Each child’s unique “passion” is brought to the surface, resulting in works brimming with individuality.

There were many children who were new to programming, but together with the “Hakase” instructors from the Future Realization IT Classroom, they had a wonderful time enjoying and immersing themselves in their own programming projects.

*The "Realizing the Future" IT Workshop will also be held in Tokyo on November 21!
