Here’s a look at the children’s workshop on the “MESH” electronic tag that took place yesterday in Futako-Tamagawa!
Working in pairs, the kids explored MESH’s various features and created projects using a wide range of materials, such as paper cups and cardboard. They simulated
traffic lights, built a camera that takes a photo when a box is opened, and invented many other creations—from surprise boxes to pedometers and remote-controlled cars—that were innovative in both function and appearance.

The workshop facilitators were participants from the training session for adults held that morning.
Rather than ending with just the training, we also set aside time for them to actually work with groups of children.
Focusing on MESH’s basic functions, this training session and workshop allowed participants to explore various extensions using GPIO and helped us convey the wide range of possibilities the platform offers.
We’re very excited to see how MESH will be used in the future, tailored to the specific needs of various schools and organizations!
