- [Report] Tahara-machi Atelier BAUHAUS
From a CANVAS Facebook post

[Report on the September 28 (Sat) Atelier BAUHAUS Session] The theme for
this session was “Drawing,” which we explored during the 2013 academic year.
Feet, erasers, walls, leaves, pencils, liquid clay, paint… Using a wide variety of tools, we’ve drawn through various actions—bending, rubbing, cutting, and pasting.
Reflecting on those experiences, we all worked together to create a pitch-black canvas and painted a picture that could only be created by all of us working together. There were so many moments of shared
laughter, mutual help, and calling out each other’s names.
For this session and the next, we organized the program based on requests from the children regarding past sessions. Although their requests were
surprisingly diverse, we chose “Egaku” because we wanted to [reflect on what we’ve done so far] and [create a time where we could all work together on a single piece].
Next time, since we received just one request for a new theme that hasn’t been covered in past programs, I’m thinking of creating a program together with the kids. I’m really looking forward to it.
