Today, we are holding the “Fellow Meeting” at the CANVAS office—an opportunity to connect with all of our Fellows who work with us to advance CANVAS’s activities and provide their support.
This fiscal year has brought many changes, starting with our office relocation and including the first-ever redesign of our logo and official website in our 13th year since founding.
We continue to strive to foster children’s creative activities and are currently planning various new initiatives.
Moving forward, we aim to deliver enriching experiences to all children as an even larger movement.
We hope this Fellow Gathering will serve as an opportunity to reflect on our activities to date and to envision the next 10 years together.We hope to create an environment where
Fellows can connect deeply with one another and spark new initiatives. We have
already received registrations from approximately 150 people.
We look forward to meeting many of our current Fellows, as well as those who are joining us as new Fellows!

Today, we will hold a “Fellow Party” at the CANVAS Office. “Fellows” are people who support CANVAS and help promote our activities. We occasionally host these gatherings so that our Fellows can connect with one another and to express our gratitude to everyone.
This year, marking our 13th anniversary since our founding, we moved to a new office, introduced a new logo, and revamped our official website. It has been a year of many changes.
We will continue to plan new projects with the hope of fostering children’s creative activities.
We aim to continue providing enriching experiences to all children as part of a broader movement.
We hope this Fellow Party will give us the opportunity to reflect on past activities and look ahead to the next ten years together.
We also aim to create a space where fellow members can engage in meaningful dialogue and provide opportunities for the further development of new activities.
We have already received registrations from approximately 150 people.
We look forward to meeting all of you, as well as everyone who will become a new fellow member.

    After graduating from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Tokyo, he served as a visiting researcher at the MIT Media Lab before founding the NPO CANVAS and the Learning of Tomorrow Association, a General Incorporated Association, and assuming the role of representative. He serves as an outside director for Matsuya Co., Ltd., Fuji Media Holdings, Inc., and Digital Garage, Inc.
    He has served on various government committees, including the Information and Communications Council of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, as well as the NHK Central Broadcasting Program Council. He also serves as a director of the Digital Signage Consortium, among other roles. He holds a Ph.D. in Policy and Media.
    His publications include *Turning On Children’s Creativity!*, *What Are Smart Kids Doing on Their Smartphones?*, *The Forefront of Online Education in Japan: Considering Learning in the Post-COVID Era*,“What Is Programming Education? 45 Questions Parents Want to Know,” and “Declaration on Digital Education.” He has also provided supervision for numerous works, including “Ah, I See! Programming Education for Parents and Children Through Manga.”
