- Workshop Collection 11, Day 1
\The Workshop Collection Has Opened!/
The main venue for “Workshop Collection 11 in Shibuya” has opened!
Here’s a glimpse of the opening!

As part of the ongoing Workshop Collection, we just held the 4th Digital Ehon Award Ceremony!
I served as the host for the awards.
Now in its fourth year, this award received approximately 200 entries from 26 countries.
Additionally, this year we introduced a special award for “FlyingCat,” a creation tool that makes it easy for anyone to start making Digital Ehon, making this an even more exciting and expanded awards ceremony featuring Digital Ehon works from both Japan and abroad!

The Grand Prix winner announced at the awards ceremony was “Dambocco Kitchen” by Kayac, Inc.!
The Runner-up prizes went to “Sago Mini Road Trip” by Sago Sago from Canada and “Monster Mingle”
by Cowly Owl Ltd. from the United Kingdom.
In addition, numerous other works were selected,
including Special Awards, Judges’ Special Awards, and Honorable Mentions. You can experience these works at the “International Digital Ehon Fair” being held at the Workshop Collection (2nd floor of the TOD Building), so please be sure to stop by!

Here’s a look at the special programs currently taking place at the TOD Building, one of the main venues for the Workshop Collection!
Let’s start with the 1st and 2nd floors! http://wsc.or.jp/
●On the first floor, artist BICTION will be painting across the entire wall of the building!
They’ll be using their whole body to bring the Workshop Collection venue to life. It’s a rare chance to paint on such a large canvas!
●On the second floor, we’re hosting a play area where kids can use Shachihata’s “Eponte” stamps for children, along with the International Digital Ehon Fair.
We’re also holding a digital ehon creation workshop!
Plus, on the second floor, there’s a robot drawing workshop corner in collaboration with the Japan Media Arts Festival!
Try your hand at creating dynamic artwork that you can only create with a robot!
All of these activities are open to walk-ins on the day of the event! Be sure to stop by.

●On the 3rd floor, we’re holding a Komadori Animation Workshop themed around CANVAS’s new corporate identity (CI), which was updated this summer! The animations, created using a simple composition of
circles, triangles, and squares in blue, red, and yellow, easily reflect each child’s unique creativity, resulting in a wide variety of works!
●On the 5th floor, we’re currently featuring the “Making & Coding” booth, which focuses on programming and digital crafting.
It’s packed with cutting-edge fun and learning experiences, including programming activities on tablets, workshops combining crafts and electronics, and booths where you can try out the latest gadgets!

●On the 8th floor, we’re collaborating with the creative unit “tupera tupera” to host an event where
you can use wall decals—which stick to walls just like stickers—to imagine “Shibuya Future People” and “The Future of Shibuya” and create one huge, huge piece of art! And guess what? The finished artwork will actually be displayed around Shibuya Station!
On the second day, registration will be available on-site.
Spots are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to sign up early!
*Note: tupera tupera will be leading the workshop only on Saturday, August 29.
