The theme for this session is “Children and Animation.”
We are pleased to welcome Mr. Takeshi Ando, Creative Director at Robot Co., Ltd.—a creative production company that has won numerous commercial and film awards—and
animation director Mr. Osamu Sakai.
Art Director/Creative Director
Takashi Ando has worked on numerous creative projects, including graphic advertisements, commercials, and videos, as well as original works such as the popular TV Tokyo animated series
“Karino Koni.”
Animation Director Osamu Sakai has worked on many animations for children, including the NHK “Minna no Uta” song “PoPoLoouise,” which won the Best in Television Award at the 2009 Chicago International Children’s Film Festival.
From their respective perspectives—as creators who continue to produce creative works that captivate not only children but adults as well—we will explore the history of robot-themed creation and the current state of production while listening to their insights, and unpack the relationship between children and animation.
