- [Call for Participants] Superhuman Sports
Superhuman Sports is about to begin!
I’m participating as a board member.
At the workshop, I’m also preparing a project for the collection that combines digital technology, sports, and children.
First, please join us at the Superhuman Sports launch event!
Superhuman Sports is a challenge to create a
new sport that anyone can enjoy, anytime and anywhere. Based on Augmented Human technology—which can supplement, reinforce, and extend
human capabilities—
we will create a new “human-machine integration” sport where humans and machines compete
on the same field as fellow superhumans (Superhuman) on the
same field—a new sport of “human-machine integration” where humans and machines are fused as one.
On the day of the event, in addition to announcing our founding, we will host a “Superhuman Symposium” featuring distinguished guests.
Our guests will include Mr. Toh Okikata (author and member of the Superhuman Sports Academy),
who wrote the screenplay for “Ghost in the Shell: The New Movie”; Mr. Akira Takayama (President and CEO of Fanworks Co., Ltd.), known for works such as “Soft Tank” and “Tokyo Onlypics”;
and media artist Michinobu Tosa (Representative Director and President, Meiwa Denki). Together with
Co-Representatives Junichi Rekimoto and Ichiya Nakamura, as well as Board Member Nanako Ishido,
they will participate in a panel session on “The Reality and Creation of Superhuman Sports” from the perspectives of their respective fields.
TBS sports announcer Hirohiro Ishii will serve as the moderator.
We will post updates on our website (http://superhuman-sports.org/
) as they become available.
We invite you to cover the event and participate.
