Programming Battle / Show & Tell

At Scratch Day, we’ll be holding two sessions of “Programming Battle,” an event that was very well-received last year! It’s a live coding battle featuring top Scratchers who have made it through the
preliminary rounds.

This year’s challenges were “Snake,” a game where a snake catches food, for the first round, and “Tic-Tac-Toe,” where the goal is to line up three O’s or X’s vertically, horizontally, or diagonally to win, for the second round.
Both challenges were extremely difficult, and the contestants seemed to be struggling, but the speed of their programming was so fast it was like watching a video on fast-forward!We received lots of cheers and applause
from the audience.
The first round ended in a tie between sharctc and yu0712, while the second round match between aktsky and MMGISS ended in a victory for aktsky.
We look forward to seeing next year’s challengers!

Also, “Show & Tell” was another highlight of Scratch Day.
Although participants had only five minutes to showcase the appeal of their projects, we received feedback from people saying, “We want to know more about these projects!” So, we’ve published a list of all the
projects!!
