We received a report from the members of the PEG Partner Ruby Programming Club about the workshop held on Sunday, April 19!
⇒ “One-Day Ruby Programming Experience in Matsue”
This marks the 13th “Small Ruby” workshop using the Raspberry Pi!
Members of the Ruby Programming Youth Group are creating opportunities for first-time programming experiences in various regions of Shimane Prefecture.
The workshops are based on the “One-Day Ruby Programming Experience Textbook: First Steps,” which we also introduced on the TOOL page of the official PEG website.

こちらをもとに島根県益田市の西部高等技術校のみなさんもワークショップを開催されたそうです.
Thanks to this textbook, the reach of programming education continues to expand.
This report features scenes of the children explaining their finished projects to those around them.
While it can be difficult to describe in words what they’ve created through programming, they’re managing to convey their ideas with the help of the staff.
You can see that the children listening are paying close attention from the creators’ perspective, eager to learn what the projects do and how they were made.
Children who enjoyed their first programming experience and want to take on more programming challenges can try the “Programming Dojo.” This school year, too, new opportunities are emerging for
children to discover programming.
