[Challenge★Programming @ Sanuki Children's Kingdom]
Today, we held a Scratch workshop at Sanuki Children's Kingdom in Kagawa Prefecture.

Working in pairs, the students teamed up to take on the challenge of creating their own original games!
Starting with a game where a mouse escapes from a cat, they experimented with adding more characters and adjusting their sizes to fine-tune the game’s difficulty and design, gradually bringing it closer to the game they wanted to create.
During their free time, I could hear them discussing things like, “Let’s try changing this number!” and “Maybe this block is why it’s not working right?” They repeatedly checked to see which
programming commands were being reflected in the game and made adjustments as needed.
Although it was only a little over two hours, I was so happy to see them take the initiative to figure out for themselves what wasn’t working.
Even among children meeting for the first time, the experience of creating games helped them grow much closer. It was especially memorable to see how much fun they were having during the
final presentation, chatting animatedly with children from other teams.
In Kagawa, e-Topia Kagawa also plans to continue holding programming workshops on an ongoing basis.
We hope you’ll all keep programming in the future!
