[Let's Create Together!]
On Saturday, March 7, the Kids Creative Lab was held at Atelier BAUHAUS in Tahara-cho.

The theme was “creating.”
We ran a program where participants created a path connecting desks and were then free to decide how to develop it further.

Many of the preschoolers enjoyed connecting the desks and became engrossed in making the path longer and longer, while
many of the elementary school students thought about how to cross the path and created vehicles.

We have two more sessions with this group, including today.
Therefore, we designed the program around the keywords “Creating Together” and “Discovering What You Want to Make and Creating It Yourself.”
The conversations, expressions, and scenes during the morning and afternoon sessions—as well as the final landscape—were all different. I believe these moments and scenes were made possible precisely because it was today.

The next session will be the last one of this school year, and the theme is “Freedom.”
I’m both nervous and excited to see what everyone will do and what they’ll say.

    After graduating from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Tokyo, he served as a visiting researcher at the MIT Media Lab before founding the NPO CANVAS and the Learning of Tomorrow Association, a General Incorporated Association, and assuming the role of representative. He serves as an outside director for Matsuya Co., Ltd., Fuji Media Holdings, Inc., and Digital Garage, Inc.
    He has served on various government committees, including the Information and Communications Council of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, as well as the NHK Central Broadcasting Program Council. He also serves as a director of the Digital Signage Consortium, among other roles. He holds a Ph.D. in Policy and Media.
    His publications include *Turning On Children’s Creativity!*, *What Are Smart Kids Doing on Their Smartphones?*, *The Forefront of Online Education in Japan: Considering Learning in the Post-COVID Era*,“What Is Programming Education? 45 Questions Parents Want to Know,” and “Declaration on Digital Education.” He has also provided supervision for numerous works, including “Ah, I See! Programming Education for Parents and Children Through Manga.”
