At the “Raspberry Pi Programming Class” held on January 31 at the Yokosuka City Lifelong Learning Center Manabikan, these projects were created! Almost all of the participants in this programming class were complete beginners—they had never programmed or used Scratch before!
From the classic “Run Away from the Cat!” game to making cardboard switches, and finally a free-project session, everyone seemed to be having a great time working on their projects.

One of them came up to me and said, “I want to start using Scratch at home too! I want to continue working on this game!” So, to make sure they could keep working on it after going home, I shared the project using Scratch 2.0, and the game can also be viewed on the Scratch page on Canvas.
The title is “Go for It! Kitty.”It’s a game where you use a cardboard switch to reverse the rotation of a cat that keeps spinning in circles, keeping it upright.

Be sure to check out what kinds of ideas the kids come up with and what kinds of projects they create, all inspired by the Raspberry Pi!
