[Programming Lab in Roppongi × GREE]

On Sunday, September 28, a programming workshop
using Scratch, a programming language for children, was held at Gree, Inc.'s venue. The theme
this time was "Treasure Hunt Game"! The game involves embarking on an adventure through various stages in search of
treasure.

To start things off, we held a programming battle as an icebreaker.
The challenge involved working together with friends in teams to solve several Scratch problems within
a time limit. With everyone dividing up roles—such as those operating the computer while the
group discussed strategies and those keeping track of the time—it turned into a really exciting
battle!
Actually, the problems presented here would later be related to the game-making activity that followed.

While creating the games, we brainstormed ideas with our friends
—deciding what kind of treasures to include, what kinds of levels to use, and what kind of adventures to design.
We ended up creating a wide variety of treasure hunt games, including ones where a puzzle is presented at each level and others with a story that ends with a twist—
like when the treasure you’ve been searching for turns out to be right inside your house!

The next Programming Lab in Roppongi is on Sunday, October 26!
The theme is “Games with Timer Features.” Using
“variables,” we’ll create games triggered by timers—ranging from simple ones that count down time to games with stages and music that change at set intervals, and even games with enemies that
gradually increase in number. We’re
currently accepting participants!!
