- Public-Private Study Group “Koshikai”
Last evening, I had the opportunity to speak at “Koshikai,” a public-private study group comprising national civil servants from various ministries and agencies in Kasumigaseki and representatives from private companies.
Under the theme “Shaping the Norms of the Future,” I spoke primarily about neurodiversity, focusing on its significance and potential.
Currently, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry is the only government agency using the term “neurodiversity” in a policy context; however, I am heartened that officials from the Cabinet Secretariat, the Cabinet Office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, and the Ministry of the Environment have also shown a high level of interest in this issue from a policy perspective.
We also received many questions from representatives of private companies.
Neurodiversity is an endeavor to create a society where, based on the premise of cognitive diversity, each individual can fully realize their creativity and potential.
We would be delighted if as many of you as possible would join us in this initiative.
The image shows the four personas I have in mind.
