In May, GREENWORKSHOP invited author Ikuko Matsuo
(Ikuchan-sensei) as a special guest instructor, and we created vibrant colors together!

First, in the backyard, I’ll sow three types of seeds—including cotton and yellow cosmos—in pots.

Since the three seeds have different shapes, ⁡
⁡ I compared them carefully and realized that each one has its own distinctive features.

Once you've finished planting, water the seeds and wait for them to grow.

After that, we went back to our room and made plant-based paint with Ms. Iku-chan.

Everyone was fascinated by the flowers and leaves gathered on the table in the middle.

What color is it? What does it smell like?

Once you've chosen your favorite plant, use a mortar to crush it into small pieces.

While rubbing it vigorously, I’d occasionally sniff it or touch it with my finger.

We made "paint base" while experiencing a variety of sensations.

Just dissolve the "paint base" in animal glue, and your paint is ready!

I drew on washi paper and completed a special painting just for this day.

The weather at Ark Hills that day was a bit chilly, but it was a workshop where we could truly feel the spring
—which is about to come to an end—surrounded by so many flowers.

The next GREENWORKSHOP will be held on Saturday, June 27⁡

"Let's plant some plants that honeybees love and try our hand at honey extraction."⁡

We’ll be welcoming L’ABEILLE Co., Ltd. to explore all things related to honeybees. Stay tuned!🐝
