WIRED Special Feature: “21st-Century Textbooks: 42 Books for Thinking About the ‘New World’”

As I was posting about book covers, I suddenly remembered that I had
once been asked to select books for a WIRED special feature titled “21st-Century Textbooks: 42 Books for Thinking About a ‘New World.’”
For some reason, I was given the theme “The New Body.” It’s
still a mystery to me why that particular theme was chosen, but at the time, I selected

Bruno Munari’s *Fantasia*
, André Leroy-Gourhan’s, “Gesture and Language”;
Katsushika Hokusai’s “Hokusai Manga: One Hundred Aspects of Edo”; Erik
Brynjolfsson’s “The Race Against the Machine”
; Geriano Fornari’s “The Human Body Picture Book”; and
Roger Caillois’s “Man and Play.”

I really like the way this site is laid out (*^^*)
